KPM + Workshops Begin
your business is in full swing. Participants have already gained knowledge about
legal aspects of running a business, have to be created and discussed
business plan, they also know how to create a customer journey map. They are almost there
ready to start your business. There are two more meetings ahead of them
dedicated to the sales strategy. They seem to have everything necessary
to be successful. However, how to find out if the idea they want to introduce
in force, has a chance to be successful?

1. Share the idea with others.

Participants
during meetings, they not only draw knowledge by handfuls (and they testify to it themselves
positive comments about the workshops!), but also discuss among themselves,
they exchange tips and comments, support each other, but also give
constructive criticism. After all, running your own business is not just that
smiles and “pats on the back”. Sharing an idea with others is a step
what each potential entrepreneur should do before starting
activities. It is difficult to look at your own idea objectively on your own.
Therefore, the opinion of someone from the outside will allow us to look at our plans from a different point
goodbye. It is best to ask people who are potential first
customers and recipients of your services. If you do not have such friends,
use the tools offered by the Internet – forums or Facebook groups are just that
some of the possibilities. The second important group worth asking for an opinion is
people who have experience in launching new projects. Science on
mistakes made by others will save you a lot of time and money.

2. Find a problem that will fix the product.

By
find out if there is demand for your product or service, it is worthwhile
ask yourself “what need are you answering?” Asking a need should
appear before we think of a product, although the reverse is usually the case. However
even if you already have a specific idea for a product or service, it’s not worth it
abandon this step. Awareness of the need behind our client,
will make it easier for you to find him and encourage you to take advantage of the offer.
You just look around to see that people are constantly looking for solutions
many problems. If your product could be a remedy for one of them, it’s worth it
present and await feedback.

3. Check the potential of the idea.

Janet
J. Kraus, a professor at Harvard Business School, divides the products into three
categories: oxygen, aspirin, and jewelry. Consider which group it belongs to
your product. This will allow you to establish your sales strategy as well as the method
communication.

Oxygen – a product we cannot live without meets our basic needs, e.g. food, water, clothes, but also (in the case of companies) electricity, internet

Aspirin – products that make life easier, but you can do without them, e.g. coffee, sweets.

Jewelry – products that only make life more pleasant, e.g. cinema, games, luxury products.

4. Shape your idea.

Organizing information is extremely important. It allows you to see what the project looks like in black and white, we can estimate the potential profitability of the project. This is all the information and data necessary to create a business plan. It is often the starting point for writing it. You can read more about creating a business plan HERE.

5. Research the idea in the market.

Before
you start large-scale production, put a commercial on TV and fill it up
products warehouse, check the interest in the product to a lesser extent.
This can be done in different ways. One of them is the primary release
version of the product to the market. Create a specific prototype, launch it on the market and
see if it has any interest. If so, chances of success
“Full” product are rising. If not, don’t give up on the idea right away. Check what
you can change, correct and retest. If you don’t have the option
create a simpler version of your product (this is often the case with
offering services), do a survey. Ask your potential customers about
would they use your services. However, it is worth being careful here, because what
another is relying on real experience, another is being guided
only dry opinions.

The above
tips will not make you have a guarantee of success and your business
will prove successful. However, they will allow you to get as close to it as possible
success.

In the meantime, see what the cooperation between participants at KPM + workshops looks like. Business support is essential!

The above issues were the subject of the third in the series of workshops “Entrepreneurial Moms Club + – start your business” , organized by the Parent Foundation in the city. The workshops are dedicated to mothers who want to start their own business and have a specific idea for a product or service. During 5 meetings, the participants not only learn about the legal aspects of running a company, but also create a current plan and a strategy for selling their products or services. Workshops on creating a business plan, client mapping and business models were conducted by Marta Waszczuk.
