Back in March, we were kindly gifted a Cineworld VIP experience for two at their Sheffield branch. With work schedules and arranging childcare, it took us six whole months to finally make it there!
We chose to watch The Nun, the latest installment in The Conjuring series—and it did not disappoint. Absolutely terrifying! If you’re into horror like we are, it’s a must-see.
What is the VIP Experience?
Cineworld’s VIP experience, currently available only in Sheffield and Glasgow, offers a premium cinema experience with exclusive perks:

Our Evening
Our screening was at 6 PM, but VIP guests are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes early to enjoy the buffet. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given a quick tour of the lounge.
The buffet was impressive, with options like salad, pizza, pasta, and a standout mac ‘n’ cheese with bacon. Drinks included a variety of hot and cold choices, and a private bar was also available for alcoholic beverages.
The Cinema Experience
At 6 PM, we were invited into the VIP screening room. The luxury seats—reclining Lazy Boy-style chairs—were incredibly comfortable. Each seat has its own control panel for reclining and a small personal table for snacks and drinks.
Best of all, the drinks and snacks are unlimited, and you can help yourself even during the film.
Is It Worth the Money?
At £29 per person (£19 for Unlimited Card holders), the VIP experience isn’t cheap. But considering the quality of the food, unlimited snacks and drinks, and the luxurious seating—it’s a solid value, especially for a special occasion.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely do it again as a treat. While not something we’d do regularly, it’s perfect for a birthday, anniversary, or date night.
Honestly, I didn’t think luxury seats would make such a difference—but now I’m hooked. I’d even pay extra just for those seats at a regular showing.
Final Verdict
Is Cineworld VIP worth it? Yes—absolutely! If you arrive hungry and plan to indulge in all that’s included, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. It’s a fun and indulgent way to elevate a regular cinema trip into something memorable.
